About Us

Alleviate. Empower. Enlighten.

Hi! We are Project Alleviate 2.0, a 2-year running service learning project from Hwa Chong Institution (HS Section) working towards the destigmatisation of mental health topics and also the spreading of awareness about mental well-being amongst the youth community. In the previous year, we have managed to inculcate a basic understanding of mental health within youths and educators alike, and this year, we seek to go one step further by involving more schools, educational institutions and also partner organisations, all of which would allow us to spread the message of the importance of mental health.

Given that there is a stigma concerning mental health issues in the school environment, which results in youths being afraid to seek help for mental health issues, how might we be able to come up with a multi-pronged approach to tackle this issue in the year 2022 and beyond?
